It’s finally here. My bags are packed, my itinerary’s set and soon I’ll be en route to Munich for the 2018 Autodesk Automotive Innovation Forum. This year’s event features an all-new agenda with International and local keynote speakers, innovative topics, technology exhibitions and the opportunity to network with the automotive industry’s leading professionals.
It goes without saying that technology is evolving faster each year so in order to stay relevant you must be focused not on the past, not on the present, but on the future. You’ll notice that at the AIF 2018 conference we are focused on preparing you for what is to come, so every investment you make today is aligned with the goals set by you and your organization.
The first day features a welcome from Andreas Kempenich, Autodesk’s Sr. Director, Global Automotive Sales. Followed by Laurens Van Den Acker, Groupe Renault’s Sr. Vice President, Corporate Design. Laurens will speak to their design strategies and the future of mobility. Next Carina Sandbrink & Tom Jetter of Daimler AG share how they created the connected car service at Daimler.
After lunch are the breakouts, where the content is broken into three innovation themes:
Studio of the Future:
This track focuses on the design, visualization and conceptualization processes that prepare decision-makers with the perspective needed to make informed decisions. From sketching, to modeling, to clay milling and even the human interface design processes will be covered. Hear from leading designers of Porsche, BMW AG, TATA Motors, Renault Design and Audi and gain insights into how they leverage industry trends and technology to innovate and create.
Smart Manufacturing of the Future:
If you are involved in the production process, this is the track for you. From factory design, to plastic injection molding and even additive vs. subtractive manufacturing methods are covered in this series. This is where an innovative approach can enhance profitability and throughput. Learn from BMW, Jaguar Land Rover and Proto Labs about optimizing productivity from 3D-printing, CNC machining and injection molding. Hear from MAGNA Steyr on how they make factories smarter and how they handle all the data available today.
Marketing of the Future:
Consumers have everything at the tip of their fingers with today’s technological advances. You can learn how to engage the right audience, produce and manage digital marketing content and efficiently collaborate with stakeholders across different geographies. Marketing autos is becoming more and more dependent upon digital media and convenience. In this track KISKA GmbH speaks to efficiency in the design process, while Volvo touches on the benefits of visualization. Learn from experts on Virtual Reality and how your organization can benefit from this immersive tool.
On Day 2, advanced users can take advantage of roadmap presentations conducted by Autodesk for Alias, VRED, and other valuable tools available today. Ask the experts about key functionality and anticipate what is to come.
Take that a step further and participate in an Alias or VRED Beta Deep Dive session for experts.
This event was designed with you in mind, and brings all aspects of automotive design, production and sales under one roof to share best practices and ideas. Whether you are among the most experienced professionals or are mapping out your career, this is the place to be.
